It’s all but confirmed: iTunes is being flushed down the toilet after nearly two decades of serving music fans. It was announced in 2001, and release widely along with the iTunes Music Store in 2003. Since then, streaming has replaced and dominated in the way that digital downloads used to, so farewell my old friend, this one’s for you and for my childhood.
